    Step1. Greeting and free talk
    1. T: It’s time for our class. Good afternoon, boys and girls!
    S: Good afternoon, Miss Guo!
    T: How are you?
    S: fine, thank you. And you?
    T: I’m fine too.
    2. T: What date is it today?
    S: It’s the 5th of December.
    T: Is your birthday in december?
    S: Yes. / No.
    T: When’s your birthday?
    S: It’s in…
    T: What would you like as a birthday present?
    S: I’d like …
    3. T: Did you get any presents last year?
    S: Yes./ No.
    T: From your parents/ friends…?
    S: Yes. / No.
    4. T: There is a very important holiday in December. What is it, do you know?
    S: Christmas.
    T: When’ Christmas?
    S: It’s on the 25th of December.
    T: In western countries, what do people usually do at Christmas?
    S: They have parties/ go shopping/ meet family and friends…
    T: What do they do at the party?
    S: They sing Christmas songs.
    T: Good! Let’s sing a Christmas song now.
    CAI: flash: We wish you a merry Christmas
    Step2 . Presentation
    1. T: Do you like this song? Do you lke Christmas?
    S: Yes.
    T: I like Christmas, too. Because I can get a lot of presents at Christmas. Last year, I got a present from my friend. It’s in this box. What is it? Can you guess?
    S: Is it a …?
    T: I’ll show you. Come here and open it for me.
