1.To know some details about English language.

Procedures:
I. Pre-reading
China is a very big country. Do we speak the same language? Can we understand each other?
1.China is a large country where different dialects are spoken. Can you list some of them? (Discuss in groups and some students have to report the answer.)

2.Is there anybody who can speak a dialect from other place? Some students speak the dialects and others guess.

3.Do you think there are some dialects in English?(show some examples by acting in pairs.)
