我的父亲教会了我What I Have Learned From My Father(第一名)
Have you seen Appolo driving his golden chariot across the blue expanse of the universe, radiating his glory over lives of all kinds? Does the sight of the spring breeze sweeping away the inclemency of the bitterness of winter, refreshing every breath of the earth, and rejuvenating the minds of all ever touch the chord in the deepest spot of your heart? My father is a great man. I have admire and worshipped him ever since I could think. The roughest but best description of him, I am sure, is only three words: savant, artist, patriot. Why, I even believe any terms of praise or description would degrade his supremacy. He is just like a fountain; whenever I am thirsty, I can satisfy myself by drinking from it. It is very clear now that I should attribute to his endeavor most of what I have learned in life. I learned from him first of all, the love of books. Who else could have been as rich a boy as I was? In the heaven of books. I have been following the path my father walked through, and every instruction of his helps my voyage get even smoother. I learned from him, too, the love of my country, my history, and my culture. To become a real Chinese, this is the great step. Therefore, when I am met with the clash of different cultures, (as one who learns foreign languages this is very common.) I can always find my root in the fertile land my ancestry has cultivated. Then I learned from him early in life the love of fine arts—music, painting, literature. He taught me piano. Oh, what a man of taste he is! What a wonderland he has given me in the domain of the elevation of the sense of beauty! So, I muse when I play Chopin’s Etudes or Schubert’s Impromptus; I dream when I read Chinese classics or Turgenev. How nice of him to have shown me into a field that most other people have not found? I learned from him, last but not least, how to become a valuable an – a man full of love , confidence, justice, and sincerity. And he himself is the best model. He is so well-behaved, hardworking, kind hearted, and self-decisive. He has a strong sense of responsibility and a lovely helping nature. In these aspects I do not think I can ever catch up with him, but I am trying, and I will ever to trying. He is to me a good father, to Mom a good husband, to our family the center and the lord. I am learning from his the willingness to serve society and to ask for no reward. Oh, there is too much to say completely! And, mundane though it seems, I would still like to send him here my heartiest praise and applaud. My dear father is the sun that gives me life and inspires my love and true nature; the spring breeze that sweeps away all the shadows in my heart and nourishes my quest of maturity. Whatever success I shall achieve in the future, I will first tell him, “Papa, thank you!”

我的父亲教会了我What I Have Learned From My Father(第二名)之一
I still remember one day , when I was I was a junior high school students, my father went home shocking us with the news that he had lost his job. Driven to despair, my mother cried out “There barely enough money left to maintain our lives. What should we do?” father just kept silence. From then on , our family did undergo a hard time. Father went out every day to look for another job and day home. The depressing answer. Finally. Fortune began to smile on us. When hearing  he found a new job, we were so excited as to forget to ask want kind of job he did. Days passing by, our family again enjoyed the hap ness once lost. Father came home late and looked exhausted. But nobody bothered to notice the increasing wrinkles on his face. One afternoon on my way home, I saw a dustman pushing a cart loaded with trash ahead of me. To my dismay I found he was my dismay I found he was my father. I watched as he tracked across the muddy land, dragged down the street and turned the corner. Then tears blurred my sight. Not until then did I understand my father. Sometimes we left much unsaid, as I had never told him how much I loved him and he never let me know what he had done for us . but I had learned so much from his silence. Once he had suffered an outward defeat, but who knows inwardly he even stood better than ever. Father taught me, through saying nothing, that what I should do when confronted with obstacles. Father, thank you!
